Three weeks before the 21st annual Raymond James Stutz Artists Open House, art fans will have a chance to preview – and have a first shot at purchasing – the work of more than 70 Stutz artists at the free "1st Look" exhibition at the Raymond James Stutz Art Gallery on the first floor of the Stutz building.

At the exhibit, most of the artists will display one piece as a representation of the work they'll show in their studios during the April 25 and 26 Open House event. A wide range of media and styles of artwork will be on view. Checking out the “1st Look” exhibit is a great way to plot which studios to visit during the open house.

An opening reception for the exhibit is set for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 4, in conjunction with the Indianapolis Downtown Artists & Dealers Association's (IDADA) monthly First Friday gallery tour. The show continues through April 26, and the gallery is open from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays or by appointment. It will be open during the Raymond James Open House as well.
