Artist Statement I am a figurative artist who creates prints, drawings, and mosaics as a means to explore the human figure and its connection to the world around it. I am attracted to the tactile and physicality of mark-making by scribing and scraping a mezzotint or drypoint, drawing in ink, charcoal, and/or wax, and cutting glass to paint a mosaic. The style of my work has been influenced and inspired by Kathe Kollwitz, Lucian Freud, William Kentridge, Tim Hawkesworth, and Frida Kahlo. studio: B240 |
