"Make Your Mark: Dream" - Fiber Artists Exhibit in the Raymond James Stutz Art Gallery
The exhibit features a unique show of wall art, sculpture and other fine arts made from various types of fibers, including some highly technical pieces.
"Make Your Mark" features a textile piece created to represent shag tree bark, a 3D dimensional piece suspended from the ceiling, felting with silk and roving creatively mounted that gives way to let your imagination run free, and much more.
Fiber artists are often known to push the envelope with everyday materials and make them appear completely different than how they were intended originally – and this exhibit proves just that.
The November 6 opening reception (5-9 pm) is a part of IDADA First Friday Art Tour. The exhibition is open M-F from 11 am - 2 pm through November 20.
