Diane Lyon

Diane Lyon is an American artist who paints everyday subjects from the world around her. She is equally at home portraying landscape, still life, and figurative subjects, working primarily in oil. Her focus is on the dialogue of shapes, color, tones, texture, and line, adding abstract elements to realistic subjects. Often described as an Impressionist or an Abstract Realist, Lyon’s work is easily recognized by collectors and the art community. Lyon is a nationally recognized artist with numerous major awards in the Indiana Heritage Arts, the Hoosier Salon, and the American Impressionist Society. Her work is included in many corporate collections in Indiana, including Eli Lilly and Company, Elanco, Indianapolis Public Library, among others. Her work is also included in private collections throughout the world. She has been represented in Indiana for many years by Masterpiece Gallery, Sigman’s Gallery, and Castle Gallery, as well as galleries across the country.
